Twiga Imports had a strong green bean trade, exporting thousands of pounds of green beans yearly. Our client wanted to extend their product lines into the consumer retail market for roasted coffee beans and teas. Though Twiga had a unique business model, the consumer retail market was overly competitive with well-funded and well-established brands. Their goal was to literally create a new brand platform that would truly distinguish their products in a big way.

Solution

To gain an edge in this saturated market, Anoroc created a brand platform combining the owner’s heritage with their fair share philosophy. Twiga’s brand architecture was based on their rare authenticity centering on their roots in East Africa where the founder’s mother still farms coffee and tea. Brand elements, including logos, evoked the brand promise of a different level of fair trade and partnership with African farmers.
